"Backstories?
What do you mean?"
This
picture was taken by a photojournalist named Steve McCurry in 1984. The woman's
name in the image is Sharbat Gula, She was around 12 years old at that time and
had fled to Afghanistan during a war with her family.
Her green
eyes and expression actually indicates hardship and struggles by war and
displacement. The image also shows strength and resilience of a child living
through tough circumstances, making it a powerful image with deep meanings.
So now

Rule of
Thirds is a composition guideline that divides an image into nine equal parts
to create a balanced and visually interesting shot.
How to
apply Rule of Thirds in your photographs?
Place your
main subject on the lines or where the line cross like this one:
Remember!
Don't always keep your main subject in the center, it would look boring and
basic... instead, use this composition technique in your photos to make it look
less boring and interesting! :3
2.
Lightings
There are
four types of lightings in photography. Natural light, Artificial light, soft
light and hard light!
Natural
Light
Natural
light in photography refers to natural light like sun or moon, It is one of the
most commonly used light sources in photography.
You can
also create some dynamic effects with natural light using shadows by objects
like windows, trees or plants!

Artificial
Light
Artificial
light in photography is using light that's not natural. Like lamp, LED, strobe
and etc...
Use
Reflectors to redirect artificial light to fill in the shadows.
You can
also use gels to add color to your lighting for creative effects, depending on
what your trying to achieve.
Soft
Light
Soft light
in Photography is light that is smooth and soft. No harsh shadows making the
subject look natural and flattering.
Hard
Light
Hard light
in photography creates sharp shadows and only emphasizes the areas where you
want the audience to focus on by using a small light source. You can do this by
using a flashlight, LED pocket light or a candle.
3.
Composition tips

photography is when you use something to surround or highlight the main subject
like a picture frame! This makes the viewers focus on the subject, the one
